Warrior Build
The warrior build is my favorite when it comes to beating armored enemies, charging into forts (Lokris Fort), or fighting enemies head-on. If you are looking for Assassins Creed Odyssey best build, I highly recommend going with this one in your first playthrough of the game. Plus, it also makes Kassandra or Alexios look extremely badass. Not only do you get to be fearless while taking the fight or controlling the crowd, but you also get to engage in conflicts and come out victorious as well. By far, it is my go-to build in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. So, without further ado, let us break it down to create this build and discuss the playstyle.
Armor
For the best warrior build armor, there is no parallel to Greek Heroes set. The five armor pieces increase warrior damage significantly and, in addition, grant buff to armor, increase the overall resistance to damage and give extra health.

Abilities
Bull Rush | Allows the player to charge at enemies and knock them down after hitting. The attack deals a total of 250% Warrior damage to an enemy. |
Fury of the Bloodline | The ability generates three adrenaline bars over time and launches five attacks on an enemy, dealing a total of 120% of warrior class damage. |
Second Wind | Grants an additional 25% of health bar to the base health. |
Spartan Kick | The Spartan Kick is a signature attack move of Greek elite warrior. Executing this ability lands 160% warrior damage on an enemy and also knocks him down. |
Battlecry of Ares | Kassandra/Alexios become furious with rage and buff their attacks by 20% for next 10 seconds on enemies around them. Also, the incoming attacks are debuffed. |
Shield Breaker | Grants players the ability to break shields of small sizes and simultaneously deal a total of 150% Warrior damage. |
Flaming Attacks | Infuse metal blades, swords and other weapons with fire using the power of Hephaistos. The duration of fire damage lasts for 15 seconds only and all melee weapons as well as arrows get the flame elemental buff. The burn damage causes health depletion of enemies over time. The greater the fire meter the hire the burn damage. |
Fire Mastery | Fire meter builds faster by 25%. |
Weapons
If you are into heavy and long weapons, go with Minotaur’s Labrys – a doubled-sided battle axe. But, if you want the fast, slice and dice or hack and slash like a weapon, I recommend picking Sword of Damokles. Both work perfectly well with the above-mentioned abilities, and using the weapons I recommend will give you a might warrior build.

You can pick any bow for a ranged weapon as long as it gives you a certain percentage of warrior or melee damage. Otherwise, I do not have preferences since most of the time, while using a Warrior build, you will use the melee weapon only.
How to Play
Now that you know how to create the warrior build, you must also know how to utilize every single ability properly to be a more efficient warrior. The Bull Rush will be your go-to ability whenever and wherever you decide to step into a hot zone. If a couple of enemies surround you, use the Fury of the Bloodline ability to tackle the situation at hand. This ability not only does five unique attacks, but it also charges your adrenaline slots as well – more power to Kassandra or Alexios. Then, let us assume armored brutes have surrounded you, and your character gets a little space to attack them individually. That is when you must utilize the Spartan Kick. This ability is extremely helpful and provides a great deal of crown-control support. Once you have broken down the enemy crowd’s integrity, take your picks and start beating the enemies to death.
There are instances where you may come across over-powered enemies. Mostly, they have a skull sign near their health bar. In situations like these, what do you usually do? You run away, right? Well, not anymore. If you pack our mentioned Warrior category Assassins Creed Odyssey best build, you should charge into them. Of course, you will struggle while taking them down but let me assure you, the fight will not be overwhelming. Battlecry of Ares is tremendously helpful in situations like this. Not only this ability buffs your attacks for 20% more damage, but it also reduces the lethality of incoming attacks on Kassandra or Alexios. Moreover, the shield breaker ability lets your character to straightaway break small shields – quite handy when surrounded by shield-based enemies.
Lastly, Fire Mastery and Flaming Attacks abilities buff and infuses fire damage with your melee and ranged weapons. So, all in all, the warrior build in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is built to takedown flanks, reach the objectives effortlessly, and become unstoppable.
Hunter Build
When it comes to shooting down enemies with a bow from a distance, a Hunter builds never disappoints. In Assassins Creed Odyssey best build guide, Hunter build is the most versatile from others in terms of higher survivability, taking down enemies while remaining unnoticed, and ordering predator animals to do your bidding. Of course, it goes without saying that a bow and arrow will be your best friend if you are inclined to play AC Odyssey using a Hunter build. However, that does not make melee weapons useless. There will be instances where you will need to rely on a melee weapon, but all in all ranged weapons will be your go-to means of offense.
Armor
To get the most hunter and headshot damage, I highly suggest you unlock the complete Artemis set in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It completes the Hunter build by granting Hunter damage, headshot damage, and other bow-related perks that no other set offers in the game. Here is an image for your reference.

Abilities
Sixth Sense | Whenever enemies spot you the time slows down for nearly five seconds, allowing you to aim down the sights and lock onto the enemies in your range. The ability lands 150% of Hunter damage to enemies. |
Arrow Master | Using this ability, you can use Paralyzing Arrows and hit the enemies with them to knock out where they stand. The arrows will not kill the enemies unless they are already low on health and you land a headshot. You can craft Paralyzing arrows form the Inventory Menu. |
Beast Master | You get the ability to tame wolves. The skill only applies to wolves that you knock out. You can only tame one animal after unlocking this ability. |
Multi Shot | Players can simultaneously target 4 enemies. The arrow damage deals 150% Hunter damage to all targeted enemies. |
Predator Shot | You get the ability to zoom and shoot using the bow and arrow. The ability allows you to deal 430% Hunter damage. Also, the arrow travels 25% farther than a normal one. |
Devastating Shot | Shoot an ultimate arrow that deals massive damage of 290% of Hunter damage. The ability also grants faster elemental build up of Fire and Poison arrows by 150%. |
Archery Master | Be the ultimate bow and arrow master and never consume a normal arrow. Your overall Hunter damage is increased by 20% after unlocking this ability. |
Overpower Bow Strike | You get the ability to shoot an arrow that explodes on impact, dealing a massive 1000% Hunter damage. The ultimate ability utilizes a total of three adrenaline segments. |
Weapons
You can basically go with any melee weapon you like while running a Hunter build. However, do keep in mind that the weapon you equip must have a certain percentage of Hunter damage buff. Otherwise, the melee weapon will not directly affect your overall Hunter build.
For ranged weapons, I suggest you pick up the Achilles’ Bow. It is because the Devastating Shot ability that I mentioned to equip in the abilities section synergizes with the Achillessynergises weapon’s engraving offers an additional 20% to Devastating Shot.

How to Play
Let us assume you’ve equipped the abilities as mentioned above; now, you need to integrate them properly into your playstyle to get the maximum potential of the build. I highly suggest using the Sixth Sense ability frequently. Not only it grants you more time to get a precision shot, but it also deals additional damage on top of the base damage. Try to land as many headshots as possible for critical hit damage. Secondly, if you see two enemies in one place, drop one of them by shooting the paralysing arrow and take out the other one without raising suspicion. Moreover, if you get surrounded by a couple of enemies, use the multi-shot and target the head for maximum damage.
Another way to deal with crowds is to utilize Beast Master ability the most. Besides wolves, an upgraded version of this ability lets you tame lions, leopards, and lynx as well. Use this to break enemies’ defensive lines and charge right into their territory using beasts only.
If you just want to silently take down most enemies in a fort or on a look-out tower, utilize Devastating Shot and Predator Shot abilities. They grant you mighty arrows and deal serious damage, enough to take down guards that may raise alarms.
Finally, Archery Master is helpful while exploring the world and scavenging the resources. Equipping this ability no longer lets Kassandra or Alexios to consume regular arrows from the inventory. Additionally, I highly suggest reserving your adrenaline slot and use Overpower Bow Strike on bosses or commanders of the fort. Using this skill will allow you to drain a chunk of their health bar in no time.
As mentioned earlier, Hunter build gives you increased survivability because you maintain your distance from enemies and take them down from afar using arrows. This is why Hunter build reserves a special place in our Assassins Creed Odyssey best build guide.
Assassin Build
Post-AC Unity, Ubisoft made significant changes to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and it takes great effort to assassinate an enemy in a single blow. Luckily, the Assassins Creed Odyssey best build guide is here to tell you that yes, you still can, at least to a greater degree, takedown enemies in a single assassin button prompt. The only way to pull this off is to stack assassinate damage as much as you can. Because enemies now have levels and killing them in a go requires your damage numbers to be significantly higher than their health. Also, if you could not kill an enemy straight away, you will need to use melee weapons to deplete his remaining health bar. That is why we focused our Assassin build to rely maximum on stacking stealth damage and minimum on poison melee attacks. Why poison? Because it weakens enemy armor and incoming attacks.
Armor
Snake Set is the armor I recommend to equip while running an Assassin build. It is because all five pieces of the armor grant you Assassin damage, poison damage, and elemental build up. Here is an image for your reference.

Abilities
Shadow Assassin | Unlocking the ability gives Alexios/Kassandra a 20% increase in knockout and Assassination damage. If you manage to kill an enemy after assassinating him, you loot the corpse on the fly. |
Rush Assassination | Use the Spear of Leonidas and hurl it at an enemy for a massive damage of 100% Assassin damage. The spear can only be used if you and enemy are up close. The ability does not offer chaining the attack on this level. |
Critical Assassination | You receive 200% Assassin damage after unlocking the ability. It allows you to carry out increased damage of knock out and Assassin attack skills. |
Shadow of Nyx | Unlocking the ability makes you invisible whenever you go out of conflict. Any sudden movement will turn off the invisibility. While you are cloaked, your adrenaline is consumed over time at a faster rate. You can not use this ability unless you reach Level 23. |
Venomous Attacks | You get the ability to infuse Poison elemental damage on your current melee weapon and on normal arrows as well. The durations of status effects lasts for 15 seconds only. Enemies become toxic if your poison meter is full. The intoxication causes enemy’s to receive damage debuff on their attacks and armor. |
Poison Mastery | Unlocking this ability allows you to have an increased poison buildup. You can build poison meter faster by 25%. The ability is useless if you do no unlock and equip Venomous Attacks. |
Call to Arms | Kassandra/Alexios gets the ability to summon a personal lieutenant to attack or distract enemies in the sight. The duration of this support character lasts for 30 seconds only. |
Death Veil | You get the ability to disappear the enemies that are killed by your Assassination skill. Allows you to maintain stealth as every Assassinated target vanished in the thin air – No one notices your presence. The ability is useless if you do not unlock and equip Shadow Assassin. |
Weapons
Arachne’s Stingers is the primary weapon of choice to go with using this build. It is because not only the weapon grants you 15% Assassin damage, but it also gives 20% poison damage as well. Both of the weapon stats go in synergy with our Assassin build, and that is why I always prefer running with Arachne’s Stingers while playing as an Assassin build.

For the bow, I highly recommend using Fanged Bow. Once again, like the melee weapon mentioned above, this one too gives Kassandra or Alexios 15% Assassin damage and 20% Poison damage. Moreover, all regular arrows deal with poison damage – more reasons to get Fanged Bow.

How to Play
To stack higher stealth damage and make stealth-based Assassins Creed Odyssey best build, you must equip abilities from the Assassin skill tree. Plus, it also gives you the nostalgia of the forgotten one-hit-kill aerial stealth attack. If you fancy hanging on a ledge, standing atop enemies, and taking them out by surprise, you must learn how to best use the Assassin build.
Shadow Assassin ability not only grants you additional hit damage; it also loots the items for you after successfully taking an enemy out from a stealth attack. This is an excellent ability as you get to kill and loot enemies on the fly and not waste a minute before striking the next one. To further stack the stealth damage, reserving a slot for the Critical Assassination ability gives Kassandra or Alexios 200% more stealth damage. It compromises the range a tad bit, but it offers ridiculous assassin damage that you need for this build on the bright side. Also, if you’ve equipped Death Veil ability, assassinating enemies automatically disappears the targets. This is a must-have ability as it saves you from alarming enemies as they can no longer detect a dead body.
Let us assume your stealth is compromised, and you need to fight head-on with enemies or finish off the remaining few ones using melee attacks. In a situation like this, Venomous Attacks and Poison Mastery abilities will prove beneficial. The best part is that the latter buffs the elemental damage of the former and gives your character increased poison damage to inflict on enemies. Remember the stacking I mentioned earlier? This is how it works. Kassandra or Alexios applies poison damage to melee and ranged weapons, de-buffing enemy armour and incoming attacks – perfect for taking out the remaining scum in a fort or inside occupied territory.
Lastly, if you encounter an overwhelming force, using Call to Arms ability allows you to summon an ally that can distract enemies or fight side by side with you – a meat bag is what you need when your cover is blown. If you upgrade this ability to max, you get to summon a replica of yourself that performs stealth attacks with you and becomes a powerful ally.
Hybrid Build
A hybrid build is the mix of three skill trees in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Creating this build and using it the right way will show you why it is essential to work for Assassins Creed Odyssey best build. The hybrid build should be good enough for direct confrontations with enemies and crowd control. It also must utilize ranged weapons and stealth attacks. All in all, this build is the best of both worlds. You want to target and kill enemies silently? Good! You can do that using two hunter and two stealth-based abilities. Or charge into the enemy defenses like a crazy bull and wreak havoc using three overpowered warrior abilities and one hunter ability for the crowd control. The hybrid build serves you right regardless of how you want to play in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Be that as it may, the hybrid build is only good up to a certain degree, and it only grants you limited diversity to approach conflicts in the game. Furthermore, it is not designed to overpower Kassandra or Alexios in Hunter, Warrior, or Assassin skill tree.
Armor
Armor of the Dikastes is the best for building a Hybrid build in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Equipping all five set pieces not only overpower your warrior damage but also gives your useful buffs such as ignore half damage, enhanced abilities damage, and increases crit chance and crit damage.

Abilities
Flaming Attacks | Infuse metal blades, swords and other weapons with fire using the power of Hephaistos. The duration of fire damage lasts for 15 seconds only and all melee weapons as well as arrows get the flame elemental buff. The burn damage causes health depletion of enemies over time. The greater the fire meter the hire the burn damage. |
Fire Mastery | Fire meter builds faster by 25%. |
Overpower Bow Strike | You get the ability to shoot an arrow that explodes on impact, dealing a massive 1000% Hunter damage. The ultimate ability utilizes a total of three adrenaline segments. |
Spartan Kick | The Spartan Kick is a signature attack move of Greek elite warrior. Executing this ability lands 160% warrior damage on an enemy and also knocks him down. |
Arrow Master | Using this ability, you can use Paralyzing Arrows and hit the enemies with them to knock out where they stand. The arrows will not kill the enemies unless they are already low on health and you land a headshot. You can craft Paralyzing arrows form the Inventory Menu. |
Archery Master | Be the ultimate bow and arrow master and never consume a normal arrow. Your overall Hunter damage is increased by 20% after unlocking this ability. |
Shadow Assassin | Unlocking the ability gives Alexios/Kassandra a 20% increase in knockout and Assassination damage. If you manage to kill an enemy after assassinating him, you loot the corpse on the fly. |
Death Veil | You get the ability to disappear the enemies that are killed by your Assassination skill. Allows you to maintain stealth as every Assassinated target vanished in the thin air – No one notices your presence. The ability is useless if you do not unlock and equip Shadow Assassin. |
Weapons
When it comes to running away from conflict into the water, you no longer need to worry about running out of breath. Equipping Poseidon’s Trident gives you additional warrior damage, which synergises well with the Hybrid build. Also, the underwater ability is cherry on top in case you need to escape via sea and lose enemies’ sight.

How to Play
Let us assume you created a Hybrid build as mentioned above in our Assassins Creed Odyssey best build guide. To get the most out of it, I recommend taking a stealthy or ranged approach first. If the enemy is below your level, you can one-shot assassinate him. Doing so also loots the items automatically and vanishes the body from the scene. This is why we emphasise on reserving two slots for Shadow Assassin and Death Veil abilities. You can do the same by using paralyzing arrows to knock out targets and assassinate them. Again, you take a look automatically, and the body disappears as well.
If, for some reason, you are discovered by an enemy, that is when you should tap into the warrior-based abilities. Using Flaming Attacks and Fire Mastery will infuse fire elemental status effect on your weapons, giving you a significant damage buff. Both abilities are great in taking out brutes, fighting commanders or beating bosses.
Lastly, whenever a crowd surrounds you and the only way out is to fight, use Overpower Bow Strike or Spartan Kick. Both abilities ensure Kassandra or Alexios break the enemy offence and leave them vulnerable for some time.
Untouchable Build
In our Assassins Creed Odyssey best build guide, Untouchable build is by far the most time-consuming build. It is because it requires players to unlock level 2 and 3 versions of certain abilities. You will need to scale the vast map of the game to unlock the secrets needed to upgrade. Otherwise, the basic version of the skills mentioned below will not work with the Untouchable build. Rather, it will create an underwhelming build that will not serve the purpose for which it is designed.
Armor
There is nothing better to equip than Spartan War Hero armor while rocking the Untouchable build in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Abilities
Shield Breaker (Level 2) | You get the ability to break shields regardless of the size. Breaking the shields grants stun damage and also deals 250% of Warrior damage on an enemy. |
Beast Master (Level 2) | You get the ability to tame a variety of predatory animals including wolves, leopards, lions, lynx or bears. You get to tame animals if you they are knocked out. Max tame capacity (01). |
Call to Arms (Level 3) | Kronos’s Punishment: Kronos loans your his power and Kassandra/Alexios get to summon his/her true replica, capable of doing stealth kills and assassination attacks. at will. The replica also deals a 100% of Assassin damage to an enemy. |
Vanish (Level 2) | Your character gets to stun enemies using a bright light. The enemies remain stunned for 10 seconds and any attack will remove the status effect. |
Ring of Chaos (Level 3) | Wrath of Ares: Using the power of Ares, your character gets to smash the spear into the ground while slowing all nearby enemies in the process. The status effect is applicable for enemies within a 5 meter radius. All slowed down enemies receive a total of 250% warrior damage at 15th second after the attack. |
Slow Time (Level 2) | Get the ability to parallel and sometimes even more lighting fast than Hermes himself. The time around you is slowed down for 10 seconds, granting you incredible movement speed. |
Revelation (Level 2) | Using this ability, your character gets to see all secrets, chests and hidden passages. Athena’s sights allow you to see everything within a radius of 30 meters, tagging the nearby foes as well. |
Charged Heavy Attack (Level 2) | You get the ability to charge harder at enemies and knock them out or break their guards. The overall damage is increased by 150% on an enemy and the overall charge duration is also significantly reduced by 25%. |
Weapons
Dagger Of Kronus is the go-to weapon with an Untouchable build. All three perks sit just about right and suit this build. Also, the fast slashing looks immensely satisfying while landing killing blows to the weakened enemies.

How to Play
I am assuming you managed to upgrade and equip the abilities mentioned above. Now to enjoy the raw power of standing like a boss and letting your minions do your bidding, you need to know how best to utilize the abilities. For starters, use the Revelation ability to scan an area where you are likely to approach and attack next. It will reveal all strategic points to you so that you can decide which angle you should lead on with your offense.
Next, use Beast Master and Call to Arms ability while engaging in a conflict. Doing so will summon a ditto copy of Kassandra or Alexios, who a fierce beast will accompany. They will do the fighting for you while you stand back and watch the show – become untouchable.
After clearing at least half enemies inside a fort, confront the remaining enemies and bring them near you in a circle. Once you’ve achieved it, use Slow Time to move faster than foes and attack them with Charged Heavy attack ability – devastate them wherever they stand. If you are down to a few more enemies, use Ring of Chaos to finish off the remaining ones in the area. If you play all cards right, you will truly be untouchable and will enjoy this Assassins Creed Odyssey best build. Using this build while completing questlines such as Daughters of Artemis, makes the entire process an effortless task.
Demigod Build
As self-explanatory as the name of the build goes, the Demigod build enables Kassandra or Alexios to chain the power of greek gods while fighting with the enemies. This is why most abilities, while making a Demigod build, are required to be the maxed-out versions. If you manage to pull off this build, your character will channel the power of Ares and Kronos; the mad, wreckless, proud and powerful gods. This is a unique build in our Assassins Creed Odyssey best build guide. It demands efforts and a grind of countless hours, but it is worth the wait at the end of the road.
Armor
For Demigod build, I highly recommend using the Demigod armor set. Equipping all five set pieces gives you additional warrior and abilities damage. This is a must-have armor set to go while rocking the Demigod build.

Abilities
Bull Rush (Level 3) | Ares Bull Charge: Ares grants you the power to summon a bull that aids you in the battle. The bull charges harder on enemies, knocking them out on impact and dealing a total of 400% Warrior damage as well. |
Second Wind (Level 3) | Ares’s Last Breath: Ares grants you one last chance to get up and fight back your foes. Kassandra/Alexios get 100% attack immunity and 5% of damage received by an enemy gets converted to the health bar. All melee attacks, if landed on the character, are auto-parried for the duration of the ability. You also get 100% fire and poison immunity which lasts for about 10 seconds only. |
Ring of Chaos (Level 3) | Wrath of Ares: Utilizing the Ares’s Wrath, your character smashes his/her weapon in the ground, dealing a strong attack to all enemies within a 5 meter radius. Another 250% of damage is dealt to the enemies after 15th second of the ability attack. |
Venomous Attacks (Level 3) | Blessing of Kronos: You receive blessings from Kronos for 15 seconds and get Isu powers to generate adrenaline at a 50% faster rate. |
Vanish (Level 3) | Kronos Time Shift: Kronos does your bidding and slows time for you. You get to move while enemies around you suspend in time for 3 seconds. You get launched in the air at all nearby stunned enemies to launch assassinate from the air. |
Call to Arms (Level 3) | Kronos’s Punishment: Kronos summons your replica which is an ultimate assassin and does stealth attacks dealing 100% of Assassin damage on the enemies. |
Rush Assassination (Level 2) | You get the ability to launch the Spear of Leonidas and deal 150% of Assassin damage. You can chain the attack from one enemy to another (Max 03). |
Shadow Assassin (Level 2) | Your character gets buffed assassination and knock out attacks. The damage of both skills increases by 40%, and you also loot enemy corpses automatically (if you killed an enemy using stealth or assassination). You also receive one more adrenaline bar as a skill perk. |
Weapons
Since it is the melee weapon you will be using most of the time while playing as a Demigo build, Mallet of Everlasting Flame is my recommendation for this build. Not only the weapon grants additional warrior damage but also deals fire damage on enemies as well.

How to Play
There is no strategy to get the maximum output from Demigod build. As a matter of fact, every single skill I suggested above will crush enemies like a pie. For an Assassin’s Creed game based on RPG elements, this build beats the purpose of item and skill scaling. It gives you the power to one-shot or melt enemies in a matter of seconds. All you need to do is mix the abilities and rinse and repeat the process. The cooldown on abilities is also tremendous, so spamming them frequently will also not be a problem.
